In 2020, as the Group Vice President for Strategic Partnerships and Activations at Reed Exhibitions, he was appointed Reed’s first global Executive Sponsor for Race. As Executive Sponsor for Race, reporting to the CEO, Mr. Walden is responsible for driving greater diversity and inclusion in three key areas: our people; our communities, including charitable outreach; and our business, including our exhibitors, attendees, partners, and vendors.

Prior to Reed Exhibitions, Mr. Walden held senior sales roles at Nike and Brand Jordan from 2011-2018 where he led award-winning sales teams, drove marketplace transformation, and strategic planning across North America. At Nike, he was a member of the Diversity & Inclusion committee, which was responsible for selecting an agency to develop and implement Nike’s global D&I strategy.

Prior to Nike, Mr. Walden served as the Vice President of Sales for Advanstar Communications for over 3 years, leading teams that, year over year, exceeded revenue and margin targets.

A life-long advocate committed to elevating social causes, Mr. Walden currently serves on the advisory boards at: 4th MVMT; ChargeFuze; and Ally2Action. He is a former board member of the Multi-Cultural Foodservice & Hospitality Alliance (MFHA); All Hands Raised (formerly the Portland Public Schools Foundation); and the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce (GLAAACC).
