Beth Cowperthwaite joined Emerald in February 2019 and is currently the Senior Vice President of Communications.  In this role, she leads the company's corporate communications and media relations strategy, overseeing a wide range of external and internal communication activities.  These include strategic media relations, public affairs, crisis communications, executive positioning, and other corporate communication initiatives.  In addition, she is responsible for sharing Emerald's story across all channels, including traditional PR, social media, thought leadership, employee communications, and company events.

Beth has 20 years of experience leading corporate communications, public relations, and business development for global organizations serving the exhibitions, fashion, technology, healthcare, and manufacturing industries.  Prior to joining Emerald, she was Vice President of Corporate Communications for Informa Markets, responsible for leading communication strategy and driving external and internal brand awareness.  Prior to Informa Markets, Beth served as Vice President of Communications and Director of Public Relations for UBM Americas (now Informa plc).
